My Life

Posted by Unknown at 09.26.00 0 comments

I guess, I should have introduce myself properly since long time ago.
So here we are...
My name is Widya Cahyani, my nickname is widya, but I used to be called anik/ani by my relative and my old friend, this is the fact that just few peoples knew about it, and I don't feel like tell the the others, and I kinda guilty not to tell them so.

I spent 9 years of study in my hometown, but then continuing high school in different city, so I have to move out from my house and spent my day in my rent house *not really move out, 'coz once or twice a week I will came to home*.

It was such a nice experience to have school in different city, but sometimes I got confused when it come to my friend, I had to memorize first whether this friend of mine knew my other friend since my previous school is in different city. I didn't have much close friend from junior high school that's why when holiday come, I would like to visit and gather with my friend in high school and it cost nearly two hours to get on the place that we already agreed before. But, everytime I see them, I felt happy coz I have friend like them, we have something in common that's why we just click to each other.

Thanks to Putri Rahma, Nurul, and Harmi, my roommate Aulia and mbak Anis who have fulfilled my 3 years of high school with so much experience and lesson learned. I'm glad that we still still keep in touch. I would like to say thank you especially to Putri, who have been a good listener everytime I tell about my long long time crush, I keep on telling her that I've already move on from him when the fact said the otherwise :D. Now, I've already get over him like for real...hahahaha I won't burden you anymore put.

Finnaly I can accepted that he is somebody's else and he didn't belong to me since long time ago :(.
If I were braver more than ever I would like to say thanks to him for fulfilling my brain during 8 years of my life with your figure and I thought that it was quite a long time to just think about one person *silly me :D*.
"I just wondering, do you ever think of me even for once?" that's the question that have been bothering me till now.

Enough blabbering wid, time to say goodbye :)
Not quite interesting but finally I write it

Media Vs. Child

Posted by Unknown at 13.06.00 0 comments

Just wanna take some time to ease my mind.
Wanna share somethings that have been holding on my mind since I dunno when.
Since my major is related to family and child development, I would like to give a glimspe of my mind about child and the effects of media toward child development.

I believe that something must have some good and bad effect in it, so does the media.
Lately, in our country there's such a cruel tragedy about sexual harassment or I can say that as  'rape and murder case toward underage child'. The media blow up the news intensively day by day and it become a national news. It is not that I disagree or showing no condolescene toward the victim, actually I as a girl felt how awful it is, how dare they did such a cruel thing toward a 14 years old girl.

What I'm scared of this tragedy is the exposure of the news towards child, cause some media described the scene of the tragedy in vigorous or vulgar ways, they didn't think who would hear/see/read the news, MOSTLY of them are just care about rating, and how to lead mass opinion. As we know that the news spread uncontrollably and we can't control the child whether they heard/see/read it on the tv, radio, newspaper, and etc. or not.  I'm afraid that children would get familiar with those kind of crime/action, and it will unconciously creeping through their unconcious mind, and they will do something similar if they are on position that support them to do so,  because they have an assumption that 'this is a common thing to do' 'this is something that ever did by someone so it's quite acceptable'.

After that case, there are many of similar case that come out to the surface like an iceberg phenomenon. It was such a dilemma, the society have to know and form their awareness that there are a case like this and they have to be carefull and keep alert with their child safety, but in any other side this tragedy raise people fears, and raise the possibility that this case will happen again. The most and important thing to do is media should filter their information first before it gets release and they should be on netral position (many news agency in my country is owned by politician, I'm afraid that't they will used it to their own benefit) and government should do some repair or amandment about pers rules (I took Broadcast Media Course on the previous semester, and it made me review and discuss about the rules that shoul be move or amandment or even added some rules cause some of it are didn't fit with current development anymore).
Eventhough this is just based on my own asssumption, but it isn't only me who have a thougt like this.
